Aether

An AI chat SaaS. Streaming chat, voice in and out, image generation, and a document library that grounds answers in your own files, behind a WebGL marketing landing page, with auth, billing, and a unified app shell. This is the aether template, and it runs on the AI Chat pack, so the chat is live the moment you add an OpenAI key.

What's inside

  • A starter for auth (you pick WorkOS or Better Auth at install).
  • A layout shell (defaults to the glass layout, swappable at install).
  • Billing, defaulting to Stripe and swappable for Lemon Squeezy or Polar at install.
  • A separate admin app from the starter, with the billing revenue widgets already wired in.
  • AI Chat as a fixed feature pack: the workspace at /chat, the document library at /knowledge, usage metering against the plan, and the admin usage dashboard.
  • An AI-product landing page with a themeable WebGL hero, the default dark theme, and a resources hub.

What you need to set up

This template inherits its integrations from its packs, so configure those:

  1. Auth - follow the guide for the starter you picked:
  2. Billing - follow the page for the provider you picked: Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, or Polar. Each needs an account, a secret, plan ids, and a webhook.
  3. AI - follow AI Chat. OPENAI_API_KEY is enough to start; the two cron jobs it needs register with the template's scheduler on install.
  4. Admin - set SUPER_ADMIN_EMAIL to sign in to the admin app the first time.

Postgres, Valkey, and RustFS are base services shared by every Hype Stack app.

Why use the template instead of composing packs yourself

It pre-wires the starter, layout, billing, and the AI chat pack together with the WebGL landing page and the app shell, themed as one product. You skip the composition step and land on a working AI product with metered usage on day one.
