How it works.

  1. 1

Drop an SVG file, or paste the SVG code into the box.

  2. 2

Pick 1x, 2x, 4x or type a width, and choose a transparent or solid background.

  3. 3

Download the PNG, rendered straight from the vector at that size.

Why the PNG comes out sharp

An SVG is a set of shapes, not pixels. The tool sets the SVG to the exact size you asked for and lets the browser draw it there, so a 4x PNG is drawn at 4x rather than blown up from a small bitmap.

That makes 2x the right pick for most screens, and 4x for print, slides, or anywhere the image will be scaled up.

If the PNG looks wrong

Text that falls back to a plain font means the SVG uses a web font the browser can't load in isolation. Convert the text to paths in your design tool first. Images linked from outside the SVG are skipped for the same reason.

An SVG with no width, height or viewBox has no real size, so it renders at the browser default of 300 by 150. Add a viewBox and convert again.

Questions, answered.

How do I convert SVG to PNG?

Drop the SVG into the converter above or paste its code, choose a size, and click Download. The PNG is rendered in your browser from the vector.

How do I convert SVG to a high resolution PNG?

Pick 4x, or type the width you need in pixels. The SVG is drawn at that size, so the PNG stays crisp however large you make it, up to the browser's canvas limit.

Does the PNG keep a transparent background?

Yes, by default. Choose white or black instead if the PNG is going somewhere that shows transparency badly, like an email or a slide.

Why is the text in my PNG in the wrong font?

Web fonts referenced by the SVG are not loaded when it is drawn as an image. Convert the text to outlines in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape, then convert again.

Is the SVG uploaded to a server?

No. Your browser renders the SVG on a canvas in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.
