JSON to CSV converter.
Paste an array of objects and get a CSV you can open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Nested fields get their own columns.

3 rows, 10 columns. Nested keys are joined with dots.
How it works.
- 1
Paste a JSON array, or an API response that wraps one, like {"data": [...]}.
- 2
Pick the delimiter and how arrays inside a row are written. Columns come from every key in every row.
- 3
Download the .csv and open it in any spreadsheet, or copy it.
How nested JSON becomes columns
A CSV is flat: one row per record, one column per field. So {"address": {"city": "London"}} becomes a column called address.city. A row that lacks a key gets an empty cell, and columns follow the order each key first appears in.
Arrays can go either way. A column per item (tags.0, tags.1) is easy to filter in a spreadsheet. JSON in one cell keeps every row the same width and is easy to parse back.
Comma, semicolon or tab
Excel in much of Europe expects semicolons, because the comma is the decimal separator there. If a CSV opens as one long column, convert again with semicolons. Tab separated text pastes cleanly into Google Sheets.
Cells that contain the delimiter, a quote or a line break are wrapped in double quotes, with inner quotes doubled, as RFC 4180 describes.
Questions, answered.
How do I convert JSON to CSV?
Paste your JSON into the box above. The CSV appears on the right. Pick a delimiter, then click Download to save a .csv file.
What JSON structure works best?
An array of objects, one object per row: [{"name": "Ada"}, {"name": "Grace"}]. A single object becomes one row, and an object that wraps a list, like most API responses, uses the first array of objects inside it.
How do I open the CSV in Excel?
Double-click the downloaded file, or use Data, From Text/CSV to choose the delimiter yourself. If everything lands in one column, convert again with semicolon as the delimiter.
Is there a size limit?
No set limit. The conversion runs in your browser, so files of a few megabytes are instant and bigger ones depend on your machine's memory.
