# Vault

A workflow automation SaaS. Connect the tools a business already uses, build a workflow, then let it run with tracking
and approvals. It ships a marketing landing page, auth, billing, and a unified app shell. This is the `vault` template.

## What's inside

- A **starter** for auth (you pick WorkOS or Better Auth at install).
- A **layout** shell (defaults to the basic layout, swappable at install).
- **Billing**, defaulting to [Stripe](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-stripe) and swappable for
  [Lemon Squeezy](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-lemonsqueezy) or
  [Polar](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-polar) at install.
- A separate [admin app](/docs/packs-templates/packs/admin) from the starter, with the billing revenue widgets already
  wired in.
- A workflow-automation landing page with use-case playbooks (lead routing, invoice chasing, support triage, onboarding,
reporting), a spectrum hero, an integrations wall, a security section, a dashboard, and a resources hub.

## What you need to set up

This template inherits its integrations from its packs, so configure those:

1. **Auth** - follow the guide for the starter you picked:
   - [SaaS Starter (Better Auth)](/docs/packs-templates/packs/starter-saas-betterauth) (default), or
   - [SaaS Starter (WorkOS)](/docs/packs-templates/packs/starter-saas-workos)
2. **Billing** - follow the page for the provider you picked: [Stripe](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-stripe),
   [Lemon Squeezy](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-lemonsqueezy), or
[Polar](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-polar). Each needs an account, a secret, plan ids, and a webhook.
3. **Admin** - set `SUPER_ADMIN_EMAIL` to sign in to the [admin app](/docs/packs-templates/packs/admin) the first time.

The workflow playbooks are front-end showcases. Back them with your own automation engine to make them run; the
template's [scheduler](/docs/backend#scheduled-jobs) is a good place to start for timed runs. Postgres, Valkey, and
RustFS are base services shared by every Hype Stack app.

## Why use the template instead of composing packs yourself

It pre-wires the starter, layout, and billing pack together with the dark theme and an automation frontend already
built: the use-case playbooks, the landing page, and the app shell. You skip the composition step and land on a coherent
automation-product shell.
