# Mind Map

A collaborative whiteboard SaaS. Sticky notes, freehand ink, shapes, images, and layers on one infinite canvas, synced
live over websockets. It ships a marketing landing page, a resources hub, auth, billing, and a unified app shell. This
is the `mind-map` template, and it runs on the [Whiteboard](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-whiteboard) pack.

## What's inside

- A **starter** for auth (you pick WorkOS or Better Auth at install).
- A **layout** shell (defaults to the joyful layout, swappable at install).
- **Billing**, defaulting to [Stripe](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-stripe) and swappable for
  [Lemon Squeezy](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-lemonsqueezy) or
  [Polar](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-polar) at install.
- A separate [admin app](/docs/packs-templates/packs/admin) from the starter, with the billing revenue widgets already
  wired in.
- [Whiteboard](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-whiteboard) as a fixed feature pack: boards at `/boards`, presence,
  undo/redo, layers, and version history.
- A whiteboard landing page with an interactive live board demo (pan, zoom, sticky notes, ink), a collaboration section,
a dashboard, and a resources hub, on the paper theme.

## What you need to set up

This template inherits its integrations from its packs, so configure those:

1. **Auth** - follow the guide for the starter you picked:
   - [SaaS Starter (Better Auth)](/docs/packs-templates/packs/starter-saas-betterauth) (default), or
   - [SaaS Starter (WorkOS)](/docs/packs-templates/packs/starter-saas-workos)
2. **Billing** - follow the page for the provider you picked: [Stripe](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-stripe),
   [Lemon Squeezy](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-lemonsqueezy), or
[Polar](/docs/packs-templates/packs/pack-billing-polar). Each needs an account, a secret, plan ids, and a webhook.
3. **Admin** - set `SUPER_ADMIN_EMAIL` to sign in to the [admin app](/docs/packs-templates/packs/admin) the first time.

The landing page demo board is built with react-zoom-pan-pinch; the real boards inside the app are the whiteboard pack,
multiplayer out of the box. Postgres, Valkey, and RustFS are base services shared by every Hype Stack app.

## Why use the template instead of composing packs yourself

It pre-wires the starter, layout, billing, and the whiteboard pack together with the paper theme, the landing page, and
the app shell. You skip the composition step and land on a working collaboration product.
