# Teams

Teams, members, and team invitations inside an organization. This is the `pack-teams` pack, and it is free.

Use it when people in one org need smaller groups: a support team, a design team, a squad. Each team has its own
members, its own invitations, and its own detail page.

## No special integration needed

Teams is built on the base services every Hype Stack app already runs:

- **Postgres** for teams, memberships, and invitation records (`Team`, `TeamMember`, `TeamInvitation`).
- **RustFS** for team icons.

There is no third-party account to create and no pack-specific environment variables to fill in.

## What it depends on

- A **starter pack** for auth, organizations, and permissions. Any of the three works, including the free one, where
  teams live inside the personal workspace.
- The starter's **Resend** config if you want invite emails delivered. Invitations are created as database records
  regardless; the email itself comes from the starter's email setup, not from this pack.

## Works alongside Projects

`pack-teams` and `pack-projects` are independent. Install either one on its own, or both. Neither imports from the
other, so there is no install order to get right.

## Environment variables

None. The pack reads the base template's `DATABASE_URL` and `RUSTFS_*` values and relies on the starter for auth and
email.

## Surfaces

Web and mobile. The Expo app gets the teams list and detail screens; there is no admin surface.
